Yves Desjardins, President & Founder

Yves Desjardins – President and Founder of Traducta

After graduating from Université de Montreal with a degree in Translation, Yves acquired solid experience in translation working for large international corporations such as Merck, Sharp & Dohme, Stelco Canada, RCA Canada and IBM Canada. This wealth of experience, combined with his personal desire to ensure the quality of all things translated, inspired Yves to establish his own translation firm, Traducta, in 1978.

To this day, Yves remains a certified member of professional translator associations such as OTTIAQ (Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec), ATA (American Translators Association) and NCTA (Northern California Translators Association).

Janie Desjardins, Chief Executive Officer

Janie Desjardins – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Janie was promoted to CEO after having proven herself in various roles in executive management since 2002. Janie is the guiding light with respect to Traducta’s future, ensuring a compelling and motivating work environment for the Traducta staff and success on the ground.

When Janie joined Traducta, she implemented Project Management procedures that enabled Traducta to foster efficient processes, resulting in higher-quality translations. Most recently compounded by the addition of translation technologies, for which Janie is a strong advocate.

Janie is directly responsible for Traducta’s ability to deliver on its promise of “Enabling growth through specialized language services.”

Jeanne Faucher, Chief Financial Officer

Jeanne Faucher – Chief Financial Officer

Jeanne is the core of Traducta’s finances and the reason behind Traducta’s stellar credit rating and exemplary payment practices.

Officially, Jeanne has been responsible for Traducta’s finances since 2006, but she has been involved with Traducta as a Financial Consultant for more than 20 years. She is Traducta’s go to person for all finance related questions and financial auditing activities.
